About our registry
We are registered through Joy, where there is the option to donate to two organizations that are important to us, or contribute to our honeymoon. Alternatively, we have also picked out a few items from Williams Sonoma that we (Connor) would love for our future kitchen.
About our chosen charities
Maggie’s chosen charity: Planned Parenthood.
Why Planned Parenthood? Access to sexual and reproductive healthcare is a human right, one which has been drastically curtailed in the United States in recent years. Planned Parenthood has worked for over 100 years to provide American women with safe, affordable, and accessible education and care around sexual and reproductive health.
Connor’s chosen charity: The Anti-Defamation League.
Why the ADL? Reports of antisemitism in the United States are at their highest level since data on such incidents have been collected. Effectively combatting anti-Jewish prejudice requires an understanding of its prevalence, and why individuals hold such beliefs. The ADL fights antisemitism - and all forms of prejudice - by monitoring acts of hate, providing education on manifestations of hate speech and prejudice, and lobbying for legislation to counter violent extremism.
